Indiana Soft Beef Jerky Original is the straightforward one: clean, savoury beef with a gentle smoky note and no added sugar. What sets the Soft line apart is the texture — tender enough to eat without a fight, while still tasting like properly dried beef rather than something pressed back together.
How Indiana makes it
It takes 180 g of beef to make 100 g of finished jerky, and that ratio is where the depth of flavour comes from. Indiana cures and dries the beef, seasons it simply with salt, pepper, garlic and a smoky finish, then packs it under a protective atmosphere, so no refrigeration is needed until you open the bag. After that, finish it within a couple of days. A faint white film sometimes appears on the surface and does not affect quality.
Where it sits in the range
Original is the baseline of the Soft line. Peppered adds a bold crack of black pepper and Hot & Sweet brings sweetness and warmth. If you are not sure which to start with, start here.
The 20 g pack
A 20 g pack is pocket, glovebox and gym-bag sized — enough for a proper snack, small enough that you are not committing to a whole bag. It travels without a cool bag, which makes it the sensible thing to keep in a rucksack for training days, hikes, long drives and the 4pm slump at a desk. Beef, natural flavouring, salt, SOY PROTEIN HYDROLYSATE (SOYA), wine vinegar, black pepper, spice mix, garlic, spice extracts, flavouring, smoke flavouring, preservative: sodium nitrite. It takes 180g of beef to make 100g of final product. Packed in protective atmosphere. Storage: no cooling. Consume within 48 hours from opening. Occasional white film on product does not impair quality. Oxygen absorber in packaging is not edible.
