Chokay Bar Dark Almond Sea Salt is an 85 g dark chocolate bar packed with whole almonds and finished with sea salt. It sits in the Chokay Originals range and is made without added sugar. This is the bar to pick when you want something with real resistance to it, rather than a smooth slab that vanishes in four squares.
Why this one
- Whole almonds, not chopped: every square gives you a proper piece of nut instead of a scattering of crumbs, which changes how the whole bar eats.
- Salt against dark chocolate: a light salting lifts the cocoa and makes the almond taste more like itself.

Who makes it
Chokay is a Dutch chocolate maker based in Breda, and the whole range is built around cutting sugar without cutting flavour. This is the Originals version of that idea: a bigger bar than the BIO range, with the sugar left out of the recipe.
