Indiana Soft Beef Jerky Peppered is the Soft line with the volume turned up on black pepper — coarse, aromatic and properly peppery over savoury beef with a smoky finish. Tender on the bite, sharp on the tongue.
How Indiana makes it
It takes 180 g of beef to make 100 g of finished jerky, which is where the concentrated, meaty flavour comes from. Indiana cures and dries the beef, then seasons it with pepper, garlic, wine vinegar and just enough sweetness to keep the pepper in check. The bags are packed under a protective atmosphere, so no refrigeration is needed until one is open; finish it within a couple of days after that. A faint white film sometimes appears on the surface and does not affect quality.
Where it sits in the range
Peppered is the sharp one. Original is the clean, savoury starting point and Hot & Sweet is the sweet, warming option — this sits between them, savoury with a real bite.
The 20 g pack

Beef, sugar, dextrose, SOY PROTEIN HYDROLYSATE (SOYA), pepper (0,6%), salt, sea salt (0,2%), yeast extract, wine vinegar, flavouring, smoke flavouring, natural flavouring, garlic, preservative: sodium nitrite. It takes 180g of beef to make 100g of final product. Packed in protective atmosphere. Storage: no cooling. Consume within 48 hours from opening. Occasional white film on product does not impair quality. Oxygen absorber in packaging is not edible.
