The simplest Kuivalihakundi, and one of the most rewarding. Smoked is the Original recipe given a long bath in real wood smoke — no liquid smoke flavouring, no quick-shot smoke gun, just slow exposure to actual smoke until the strips pick up a deep, gentle smokiness that lifts the whole flavour without overwhelming the beef.

How real smoking changes things

Industrial jerky often "tastes smoked" because someone added smoke flavouring at the end — concentrated liquid that bolts the impression of smoke onto whatever's there. Kuivalihakundi instead smokes their jerky the slow way: hours of exposure to real smoke until it penetrates the meat and mingles with the cure.

When to reach for it

Smoked is the version to bring to a barbecue, to share with someone who's never had quality jerky, or to grab when you want flavour with zero heat. It pairs particularly well with stout, smoky whisky, or a hard cheese like aged Gouda.

A 50 g bag has roughly 25 g of pure protein in it. That's a snack that does a job.
