Meat Makers Beef Jerky Tactical Original is a 40 g pack of European-made beef jerky designed for situations where a sandwich simply will not do. It was put together for military missions, navy deployments, extreme expeditions, athletes’ camps and food banks, which tells you most of what you need to know about how tough the pack and how useful the contents are.

The Meat Makers marinate the beef in a honey-led cure with a deep fruit-and-wine backbone, then dry it. It is a far more elaborate marinade than the plain-looking pack suggests, and it is where all the depth comes from. The jerky is made in Europe.
