A teriyaki jerky that doesn't try to be Japanese. Kuivalihakundi's Teriyaki takes their Finnish-style beef cure and pushes it into sweet-savoury territory using sugar, syrup, garlic, onion, ginger, and vinegar — the universal teriyaki language without claiming it's anything other than a Finnish-made take.

What makes it taste teriyaki

The ginger is the giveaway — Original doesn't have ginger, Teriyaki does. It's where the bright, zingy sweetness comes from. The onion adds body. The vinegar keeps everything from sliding into pure sugar territory, and the black pepper stops the whole thing from reading as dessert.

The sweet-savoury one in the range

Teriyaki is deliberately the sweeter Kuivalihakundi — that balance is the point of a teriyaki-style flavour. It is still nowhere near the candy-glaze territory of most American "teriyaki" jerky, but it is noticeably sweeter than the savoury Finnish flavours like Original, Garlic and Smoked. Worth knowing if you like your jerky plain.

  • High in protein — a proper beef base under the sweetness
  • Made in Finland with EU-origin beef
  • Ginger-forward — bright and zingy, not flat and syrupy
  • Sweet-savoury — the gateway flavour of the range

Who it's for

The teriyaki-curious who want a slightly sweeter alternative to Original without going all-in on dessert territory. Pairs particularly well with a cold lager, dry sake if you have it, or shredded over rice for a meal upgrade.
