The Jack Link's Beef Jerky Advent Calendar is a Christmas countdown for people who would rather open something savoury. Behind each of the 24 doors sits a full 25 g bag of Jack Link's beef jerky: not a sample, not a foil-wrapped compromise, a whole bag a day from the 1st to the 24th of December. That comes to 600 g of jerky before the turkey has even been ordered.

What is behind the doors
The calendar opens like a book and shows all 24 doors at once, which is either very satisfying or very dangerous depending on your self-control. Original is the classic: air-dried and smoked, carrying the lightly smoky natural sweetness Jack Link's built the range on. Teriyaki is the savoury, soy-led one. Sweet & Hot starts sweet and finishes with a fiery edge. Eight bags of each, spread through the month so you are never on the same flavour three days running.

How big is it? Roughly 44 x 47 x 8 cm closed, so it is a two-hands object rather than something to prop on a shelf. It looks right leaning against a wall or lying under the tree.
