Jerki Beef Jerky Teriyaki – sweet, savoury and full of umami

Jerki Beef Jerky Teriyaki is a beef jerky built on the flavour everyone already knows: soy sauce, a touch of sweetness and a hint of ginger. The result is that deep, mouthwatering umami hit that makes stopping at one piece surprisingly difficult. If you order teriyaki chicken, teriyaki salmon or teriyaki anything, this is the meat snack version of the same idea.

Why teriyaki works so well on jerky

Sweet and savoury at once: the soy-based marinade sits against the beef so every piece carries a salty edge and a mellow sweetness at the same time.

A hint of ginger: warm and aromatic rather than sharp, it lifts the whole thing and stops it tasting flat.

43 g of protein per 100 g: with 6.3 g of fat per 100 g, most of what you are chewing is beef. Jerki list it as gluten free.

How it is made

Jerki uses 180 g of beef for every 100 g of finished jerky, so the meat is concentrated rather than bulked out. The strips are marinated in a teriyaki blend built on soy, onion, garlic, pineapple powder and pepper, then dried.

Taste: sweet soy first, then garlic and ginger, then a long savoury finish.

Texture: classic jerky chew — a bit of resistance, then tender.

Perfect for

Gaming and film nights: one-handed snacking with no bowl to wash up afterwards.

Post-workout: 43 g of protein per 100 g makes it a savoury alternative to yet another shake.

Road trips and hikes: it packs flat, survives a rucksack and does not melt in a warm car.

Frequently asked

Is it gluten free? Jerki list this jerky as gluten free. It does contain soy, so check the pack if you have a soy allergy.

Is teriyaki jerky very sweet? Only mildly. It carries 13.8 g of sugars per 100 g, which reads as a gentle glaze rather than a sweet.

How much beef goes into it? 180 g of beef for every 100 g of finished jerky.
