Chokay BIO Bar Dark Heavenly Hazel is an organic dark chocolate bar loaded with hazelnuts, made without added sugar and without sweeteners. Hazelnut and dark cocoa is one of the oldest pairings in chocolate, and this 70 g bar takes it seriously: a quarter of it is hazelnut. Roasty, buttery, not sweet. Heavenly is Chokay's word for it, and it is hard to argue.
What sets this bar apart
Hazelnuts at 25%: a full quarter of the bar, not a scattering. Every square you break off has nut in it.
No added sugar, no sweeteners: per 100 g there are 7.6 g carbohydrates, of which 4.4 g sugars, and no polyols at all. Fibre sits at 38.0 g.
Barely any salt: at 0.03 g salt per 100 g this is the quiet one in the BIO range — pure cocoa and nut, nothing pulling focus.
How Chokay builds it
Chokay is a Dutch brand built around premium Belgian chocolate combined with freshly roasted nuts. The bar is 75% dark chocolate and 25% hazelnut, with chicory inulin — a dietary fibre — giving the chocolate its body in place of sugar. Everything marked in the recipe comes from organic origin, and Chokay lists the bar as vegan, gluten free and fair trade.
