Meat Makers Beef Jerky Tactical Original 40g – built for the long day

Meat Makers Beef Jerky Tactical Original is a 40 g pack of European-made beef jerky designed for situations where a sandwich simply will not do. It was put together for military missions, navy deployments, extreme expeditions, athletes’ camps and food banks, which tells you most of what you need to know about how tough the pack and how useful the contents are. Per 100 g it delivers 41.2 g of protein and 3.9 g of fat.

Why the Tactical pack

High protein, low fat: 41.2 g of protein and only 3.9 g of fat per 100 g. That is a lot of useful food for something that weighs almost nothing.

Low in salt: At 2 g of salt per 100 g it sits under the 3% mark, which is unusual for cured meat and welcome on a long day out.

Field-ready format: Sealed, shelf-stable and pocket-sized. No fridge, no cutlery, no prep — just open and eat.

How it is made

The Meat Makers marinate the beef in honey and soy sauce with red wine, prunes, apple cider vinegar, pineapple, apples, lemons, tomato, garlic and spices before drying it. It is a far more elaborate marinade than the plain-looking pack suggests, and it is where all the depth comes from. The jerky is made in Europe.

Taste: Savoury and lightly sweet, with fruit and smoke behind the beef and a garlicky, umami backbone.

Texture: Classic jerky chew — firm strips that soften as you work through them.

Perfect for

Expeditions and long marches: Real food that fits in a chest pocket and does not care how far you have walked.

Training camps: A straightforward protein hit between sessions when there is no kitchen in sight.

Emergency and travel kit: Long shelf life and no refrigeration means it can just live in the bag until you need it.
