Meat Makers Pork Dried Tenderloin 100g – a whole cut, not a strip
Meat Makers Pork Dried Tenderloin is exactly what the name promises: a whole pork tenderloin, air-dried into a 100g meat snack. The Meat Makers start with roughly 300g of fresh tenderloin and dry it down to 100g, so every bite is concentrated pork rather than a thin slice. Pork tenderloin makes up 97.8% of it, seasoned with little more than salt and spices.
Why this is different from jerky
One whole muscle: This is not minced, pressed or sliced into strips. You cut it yourself, which means you decide how thick each piece is.
300g in, 100g out: Drying removes the water and leaves the flavour behind. That is where the density and the deep pork taste come from.
Big protein, quiet seasoning: 63g of protein per 100g and only 1.16g of sugars. The spicing stays subtle so the meat leads.
How it is made
The Meat Makers work out of Šiauliai in Lithuania and were among the first to take a full pork tenderloin down this route. The cut is lightly cured, carefully air-dried and vacuum-packed whole, so it keeps its shape and its bite.
Taste: Clean, savoury pork with gentle spice and a mild salty finish. Closer to charcuterie than to snack jerky.
Texture: Dense and firm, softening as you chew. Slice it thin and it turns almost silky.
Perfect for
A charcuterie board: Slice it thin, put it next to cheese, olives and a decent bread. It holds its own.
Sharing over drinks: 100g goes a long way when it is cut properly, which makes this a good beer or red wine companion.
Trips and packed lunches: It is shelf-stable and needs no refrigeration, so it travels well and keeps in a glovebox or a desk drawer.
Frequently asked
How much protein does it have? 63g per 100g, with 309 kcal, 5.7g fat and 4.49g salt.
Does it need refrigerating? No — it is shelf-stable unopened. Once you have opened it, keep it chilled and eat it within a few days.
How should I serve it? Slice it as thinly as you can with a sharp knife. Thick chunks are hard work; thin slices are the whole point.
