Chocolate and heat don't mix. Above roughly 25 °C outside, parcels get much hotter in transit, and your chocolate may arrive softened or with a pale bloom on the surface. It's completely safe to eat and tastes the same, it just won't look its best. If you'd rather have it perfect, we'd wait for a cooler week.

Chokay BIO Bite Dark Coconut Almond is a bag of layered organic bites: a whole roasted almond at the centre, a soft coconut layer around it, and a dark cocoa shell over the lot. They are made without added sugar and without sweeteners, and they are organic and Fairtrade, which is a lot of virtue for something that disappears this quickly.

Chokay is a Dutch chocolate maker based in Breda, in the Netherlands. The BIO Bites are the bagged end of the range, loose pieces rather than a bar, which quietly changes the arithmetic of how many you eat.
Taste: silky and nutty with just enough coconut to read as tropical, and a deep, low-sweetness cocoa finish underneath it.
Texture: a thin cocoa snap, a soft coconut middle and a hard almond centre that takes a second bite to get through.

Coconut Almond is the softer, more fragrant end of the Bites. If you want blunt force, the rougher and more roasted Peanut Rocks will suit you better. This is the one to put out after dinner with coffee, or to hand round on a long car journey once everybody has given up on conversation.
