If Hot Naga felt approachable, Scorpion is the next level. The Moruga Scorpion pepper sits around 1,400,000–2,000,000 Scoville units — well past the Bhut Jolokia (Naga) and into properly intense territory. Kuivalihakundi's Scorpion jerky uses a chili sauce blend of real Moruga Scorpion AND Naga Jolokia, layered over the Kuivalihakundi cure with extra salt to balance.

What this actually tastes like

First chew: the cure — soy, black pepper — and the beef itself. Second chew: the fruity Scorpion notes start to register, with the Naga adding depth underneath. Third chew: the heat hits — a swelling, lingering burn that builds rather than spikes, sits across the whole tongue and back of the throat, and takes its time to fade. It's a proper chili experience with the flavour of real chilies, not the chemical burn of pepper extract.

A small disclaimer

This one is for spice fans, not casual snackers. If you're not sure where you sit on the scale, start with Mild Habanero or Hot Naga and work up. Have a drink ready. (Cold milk works better than water if you're not used to capsaicin.) And try to chew slowly enough to enjoy the flavour — it would be a shame to power through this just to prove a point.
