This isn't your standard jerky. "Greasy Pork" is Kuivalihakundi's bolder take — fattier cuts (Finnish pork neck), deeper marinades, and a richer, more luxurious texture than a typical lean strip. The Korean Style version takes that fattier pork base and runs it through a marinade built around the bold, sweet-savoury-spicy flavours of Korean BBQ.

What "greasy" means here

Most jerky is made from ultra-lean cuts because fat doesn't dry well — it can go rancid, lose texture, and shorten shelf life. Kuivalihakundi's Greasy Pork takes a calculated risk: keeping more of the pork fat in the strip (Finnish pork neck), then using the cure and drying process to manage it carefully. The payoff is mouthfeel — these strips chew softer, taste richer, and carry marinade flavours more completely than a standard lean jerky.

A real Korean BBQ marinade

The marinade leans on the foundations of Korean BBQ: gochujang (the iconic fermented chili paste), honey-apple cider vinegar, white wine, mirin, sugar, ginger, garlic, and chili. No corner-cutting — these are the actual ingredients you'd find in a bulgogi or galbi marinade.

  • Pork neck (Finland), gluten-free soy sauce, sugar syrup, honey-apple cider vinegar, gochujang paste, non-alcoholic white wine, mirin, sugar, ground ginger, garlic powder, chili powder
  • Made in Finland with Finnish pork
  • 38.3 g protein per 100 g
  • 26.3 g fat per 100 g — richer than lean jerky (deliberately so)
  • 13.4 g sugar per 100 g — the highest sugar of any Kuivalihakundi (Korean BBQ is naturally sweet)
  • Allergen: contains soy

Who this is for

Anyone who's eaten Korean BBQ and wished they could carry it around in a pocket. People bored of generic jerky textures who want something richer. Friends who appreciate when a snack swings for the fences. Pairs beautifully with a cold Korean lager, soju, or just as the centrepiece snack of a movie night.
