Lean, light and full of flavour. Indiana Turkey Jerky Original is the alternative for people who want the Indiana taste from a leaner cut. EU-sourced turkey, dried in the traditional way, never any added sugar.
Turkey behaves differently to beef in the dryer: the strips come out paler, finer-grained and noticeably softer, with a gentler, almost roast-dinner savouriness instead of the deep mineral note of the beef line. It is the easiest bag in the range to eat straight through, and the one most likely to convert somebody who says they do not really like jerky.
How Indiana makes it
Turkey is cured with pepper and garlic, lightly smoked and slow-dried so the slices stay tender. Sealed in a protective atmosphere and shelf-stable — no refrigeration until you open it, then finish it inside a couple of days. An occasional pale film on the surface is normal.
Who it is for
Training days, desk lunches, kids' lunchboxes and long flights. It is the lightest-tasting meat in the Indiana range, which makes it the safe bet when you are buying for somebody else.
Ingredient list
Turkey, salt, sea salt (0,2%), SOY PROTEIN HYDROLYSATE (SOYA), yeast extract, wine vinegar, pepper, aroma, smoke aroma, garlic, preservative: sodium nitrite. It takes 225g of Turkey to make 100g of final product. Packed in protective atmosphere. Storage: no cooling. Consume within 48 hours from opening. Occasional white film on product does not impair quality. Oxygen absorber in packaging is not edible.
