A teriyaki jerky that doesn't try to be Japanese. Kuivalihakundi's Teriyaki takes their Finnish-style beef cure and pushes it into sweet-savoury territory using sugar, syrup, garlic, onion, ginger, and vinegar — the universal teriyaki language without claiming it's anything other than a Finnish-made take.
What's in the cure
Roast beef (EU origin), gluten-free soy sauce, sugar, syrup, black pepper, garlic, onion, ginger, vinegar. The ginger is the giveaway — Original doesn't have ginger, Teriyaki does. It's where the bright, zingy sweetness comes from. The onion adds body. The vinegar keeps everything from sliding into pure sugar territory.
Sweeter than Kuivalihakundi's other beef flavours
Teriyaki sits at 11.2 g sugar per 100 g (vs 5.1 g for Original) — that's the deliberate balance for a teriyaki-style flavour. Still less than most American "teriyaki" jerky, but more than Kuivalihakundi's savoury flavours. Worth knowing if you're tracking sugar.
